Be an achiever

If you look at life with inquisitiveness and curiosity, the future is completely open. Don't let the fear of your environment stand in the way of achieving your greatness. Each person is born with a gift, but it is your assignment to grasp what that gift is and find a way to make it your reality. The future is already here because we are writing it minute by minute. Focus on making the impossible possible. We are all faced with great opportunities but we must recognize that it is our light not our darkness that we are more fearful of. A creative mind is motivated by the desire to achieve and determined by their spirituality, but you must first get to know who you are in God and willing to walk His path He has for your life. To achieve anything requires faith and belief in you.

Know the difference

I’ve heard people that they are talented in so many areas, but they don't know which area of their talents to focus on. You have to know the difference between your talents and your gifts. Your gifts are your pathway to your success…where God is directing you. God blesses you with a gift and talents, but you have to know that your gift is what He gives you to focus 100% on, where He's taking you for your success, and your talents is what you venture into once you've achieved the success in the area He has ordained you to be successful in. Example, when you see a singer succeed in their gift of singing and then they venture off into acting, but are not truly successful in it as they are with their singing, that's because it's just a talent that they been given, and although they may be successful in acting, but just not as successful as they are with their singing – Beyonce – success in singing but not acting.

Although I love to write and I've authored three (3) books, poetry and a short play, my gift is being a fashion designer. I eat, sleep and breath fashion and once I've accomplished success in the gift that God has blessed me to be successful in I will then venture back into writing. First focus 100% into your gifts. Don’t try and work on your gift 50% of the time so that you can give your talents the other 50% because if you do you will never be 100% successful in either.
If you are confused between your gifts and your talents ask God for guidance and He will direct your paths. Normally if the first thing you think of doing when you get up in the morning (I.e., do you get in the mirror and model or sing, do you grab your sketch pad and start to draw or do you write), that's most likely where your gifts are. I wish you much success in your gifts.

Don't be Distracted by those hands

The thing about moving forward is not looking back. When you look back you become distracted by all the hands that are trying to keep you from following your God given path. Everyone is not meant to follow your lead, but don’t let that stop you from leading. Those who are born are born to be successful, but we sometimes get off the beaten path due to life’s unforeseen circumstances, but those are only small setbacks to set you up for something greater, but only if you stay determined. Turn around and stop looking at those old dirty hands, but look at those new clean hands that are signaling you to a more successful you.

Inspiring the creative mind

I love being a fashion designer. It's not only my stress relief from my 9 to 5, but also from the craziness of the world. I design because it's a gift from God, as well as a desire to see women happy in what they have on when they wear one of my designs. I want them to feel the love and passion I put behind each piece. Women are made to be sexy no matter what size, height or age (noticed I said women), and I design with that in mind. I design how I feel each morning when I wake up...SEXY! Most of my designs are for women, but don't worry men I'm starting on you real soon, and I believe that when a woman walks into a room she should turn heads, which is what happens when you wear a BreJil Design because it is "Fashion that teases the imagination."
